Our mission is to grow the Austin pottery community by creating connections and providing a friendly place for artists to develop their process, explore ideas, and exchange knowledge.

Our story started in a local pottery studio where a group of individuals met every Sunday mornings to work with clay. Hand-builders, potters, some more experienced than others, some a little shy and some less so, but all wanting to explore ideas, share our process with one another, and push our skills with the medium.
This was so special we needed to name our group: and thus Ceramigos was born.

Out of this ritual grew amazing friendships, and a lot of joy. So much so that we wanted to share it with others.

Meet the Team

  • Owner / General Manager

    Tired of the slow pace of constructions in her architectural career, Florence fell back in love with the tangibility of the ceramics world. It first was as a weekend hobby until things got out of hands and she decided that maybe she’d be happier opening a school to share her love for the medium, and enable artists to grow.
    When she’s not in the studio, she’s probably enjoying nature with her dogs, or working on something for her brand, Labo d’.

    She has a BFA from Parsons School of Design, and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from MIT, though she doesn’t really like to name-drop.

  • Resident Artist / Studio Manager

    HR Wright is an Austin-based potter, originally from Western New York.  After studying Art Therapy in undergrad, she went on to work in disaster relief nonprofits before returning to the wheel. Her experience working in disaster zones, seeing the amount of loss and abundance of unnecessary items in a home, has influenced her own work by emphasizing the mantra “pottery with a purpose."  She loves teaching, wearing overalls, and her favorite part of making pottery is trimming.  Or pulling handles,  Or doing Raku firings,  Or...

    Jelina Saurenman is an artist, designer, and creative director who draws inspiration from her travels and love for pop art, fashion, and architecture. Her designs combine classic shapes, elegance, and edginess with versatile links and chains, mixing natural color, textures, and graphics to create unique modern and organic aesthetics. Jelina believes that every object should serve a purpose and tell a story. Her products are visually appealing and functional, bringing joy and inspiration to their users in their day-to-day lives.

    Dana Shultz is the creator of Rae Pottery - which was born after she began practicing pottery in 2024 and quickly became enamored not only as a creative outlet, but also for its meditative and therapeutic benefits. Dana gravitates toward minimalist shapes and colors found in nature, and enjoys marrying beauty and function in everyday pieces like dinnerware, vases, and incense holders. The name Rae is taken from her middle name, which means “light,” “flow,” or “to ground” - all of which are deeply emblematic of her relationship to this art form. 
    Dana is also a talented photographer and the co-founder of the incredible food website “Minimalist Baker”.

    Hi, I’m Jason a potter who’s all about turning mud into something functional and little nostalgic. It all started 5 years ago with a lump of clay and a lot of curiosity. Now, my escape is being in the studio creating and being around my creative friends.

    When I’m not covered in clay, you’ll find me with my camera photographing anything from dogs, to humans, to landscapes. I also occasionally put my degree to use by creating short films with friends.
